The story is about Miley/Hannah
Miley is an average high school student like her friends.
But she also lives a secret life, as super-famous, super-blonde pop star Hannah .
When the movie begins, her father, Robby (Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus), is worried that his increasingly spoiled daughter has forgotten her roots.
So he takes her out of LA and back home to Tennessee, where she's forced to trade in her limo for a horse, and her designer dresses for overalls.

Naturally, Miley's none too pleased about this plan.

And her publicist (Vanessa Williams) is furious.
But with the help of her no-nonsense grandma (Margo Martindale), best friend Lilly (Emily Osment), and the cute boy next door ( Lucas Till),
